Is it Time to Start Embracing Change?

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new” – Socrates.

As we begin to see the first signs of the changing seasons, think leaves with a hint of orange and slightly shorter nights, we’ve been thinking a lot about the nature of change. How change is inevitable and exciting, yet scary and confusing all at once.

Change is an unavoidable aspect of the human experience. Nothing can stay the same way forever, and nor would we want it to. So how come so many of us are scared of change? Fear of the unknown is a natural instinct but it can really stand in the way when we’re trying to make or embrace positive changes in our lives.

Change comes in all shapes, sizes and guises. Some changes are huge and demand a complete life reassessment. Other changes are little, everyday evolution’s that merge into your routine with minimal disruption. Changes that are out of your hands might feel overwhelming and disastrous, but can also spell the start of exciting new chapters. It really is all down to attitude and perception.

Listen to Claire as she chats about her thoughts on change, how you can learn to embrace the new and maintain your balance and sanity during uncertain times…

You know that we like to set you little challenges and give you something to contemplate in the days, weeks and months to come. So this week we’d like you to have a think about how you react to change. Do you shy away from it through fear, or do you welcome it with open arms and a smile on your face?

If you hadn’t already guessed, we’re all aiming for the open arms and smiley face!

Have a great Bank Holiday xo
